Spring 2011 Fashion Trend: Men at Work – Fashion and Design News and Trends – WWD.com

So remember in March when I told you about the Fall/Winter colors you should start buying.

Well its that time again! WWD is reporting strong Spring 2011 trends for men.

“The khaki pant and the chambray shirt emerged as the key staples from the trade show circuit this season. Exhibitors presented both categories in a variety of shades and cuts. The new chambray shirt steals from evening influences and vintage-inspired washes, while the updated chino is showcased in a modern, low-drop carrot shape and ultraskinny leg silhouettes, among others.”–WWD

So now is the time to be thrifty guys! Go out there and scoop up some chambray shirts, hopefully you can find some on clearance. And be ahead of the game for next year!

Found this classic, chambray button down at the Gap.

L.A. Anticounterfeit Sweep Brings 30 Arrests – Fashion and Retail Business News – WWD.com

So if I ever ran for public office and/or became a beauty queen my platform would be about finding ways to stop counterfeit goods.

Needless to say the title of this WWD article makes me very happy, L.A. Anticounterfeit Sweep Brings 30 Arrests.

“ICE said it seized counterfeit apparel, jewelry, leather goods, DVDs, CDs and fake iPhones worth an estimated $12 million if they had been genuine. Goods seized bore fake trademarks including Burberry, Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Hermès, Cartier, Nike, Ray-Ban, Kate Spade, Oakley and Dooney & Bourke. “–WWD

This article has funny timing, as I just received a phone call from a friend this morning asking me if the Gucci bag her friend gave her could be real because there is a real cardboard Gucci tag inside. Unless you’re friends with a very generous person willing to spend a lot of $ on you, the bag is not real, I told her as nicely as possible.

I wanted to take this time to remind everyone of the site www.fakesareneverinfashion.com and you can also follow them on Twitter!
