Mellon Arena

So I know in my heart that Wednesday’s game will not be the last at Mellon Arena, but it did get me thinking about picking up some commemorative items.I heard rumors from my roomie about a hat, that has the Penguins, and Mellon Arena on it…I’m not having a lot of luck finding it, but I did find some cute, collectors items.

Love this, I found it at the

While you’re on-line spending time thinking about Mellon Arena, why not make a trip to this site and leave your favorite memories.

Mellon Arena memories.

Its really catching on…..

So I didn’t end up making a big deal about it, because I wasn’t happy with the way on looked on camera, but back in September, I was interviewed on Mike Rizzo’s talk show. If you haven’t already, you should really check out Mike’s site, Rizzo Sports. It was such a fun experience and I’m still so grateful Mike invited me on his show!

While Mike and I were chatting he informed me that Dolce & Gabbana provide the official uniforms of the soccer team A.C. Milan. I’ve never claimed to know a lot about soccer, but! why did no one tell me this?? I have to admit I was super jealous that none of our American teams received sponsorships like this. I mean of course I am excited Ralph Lauren outfits our Olympic teams, but that’s only once every few years…I wanted to see this more!

Well, my wish has been granted! While catching up on my issues of WWD ( I admit, I’m always a month behind) I discovered two very exciting fashion/sport sponsorships that were recently announced.

DKNY has announced a multifaceted long-term sponsorship with the New York Yankees. Although no official plans have been announced for an exclusive clothing line, I can’t help but think it has to be in the works!

Of course the other sponsorship is also with an NY team, but honestly I can’t say I’m surprised, of course the fashion capital of America would start this trend with American teams.

Joesph Abboud also recently announced that they will be the official designer apparel partner for the NY Giants! Now we’re really on the right track with this one!!!

I don’t know about you, but I’m so excited to see what happens next, with both of these collaborations!! And who knows…maybe the Steelers will be next! ( A girl can dream…….)

The after!!!

So I was hoping to find a “before” picture of my first male, personal shopping/styling client, but I had no such luck. I decided that I shouldn’t punish you dear reader, and not at least show you the after…..I proudly present the new and improved Milan!

(Photo editing courtesy of my ex blog manager)

Milan is wearing a beautiful Banana Republic chino 2 button suit. Milan and I worked together after picking the suit, to come up with a color combo that he would be comfortable with for his shirt/tie combo. I was pushing a colored shirt, but in the end we went with a classic white button down and a bright colored tie. Easily paired with a brown belt and shoes, this suit can be worn together or as separates. Its classic yet modern at the same time! I’m so happy with the outcome!
